In 2020, our first go at a fully virtual event was Spotlight: Australia. We planned to bring an in-person event to this important part of the Relativity community, but alas—those plans were sacked by the pandemic.
Still, the online event was a great success and garnered positive coverage, ultimately paving the way to some exciting product updates later in the year.
This year, we’re gearing up for another virtual Spotlight event—and now, we’re bringing the entire APAC region into focus. Spotlight: APAC takes place 28 April, and registration is now open (the event is free!).
Asia Pacific is one of the fastest growing and most diverse regions for e-discovery and compliance. As evidence of that, we have an active and engaged community of Relativity users in this part of the world. Every day, teams like yours are tackling global issues driven by new compliance regulations, anti-corruption efforts, personal data protection rules, and US-inbound litigation. And we’re excited to lift you up in every way we can.
So, what can you expect from this year’s virtual Spotlight: APAC conference? Take a look below.
Enabling Global Collaboration—Securely
This year, a handful of product updates and other developments make collaboration more seamless than ever in RelativityOne. During the general session, you’ll hear about the availability of new geos in Asia that are opening access to RelativityOne to more teams around the globe. By the end of April, these new geos will include Singapore and South Korea—a development that comes on the heels of Southeast Asia’s incredible pace of digital transformation and Korea’s litigation landscape rapid evolution, with digital forensics playing an increased role.
By the end of 2021, RelativityOne will be available in 13 global geographies.
Additionally, we’ll walk you through innovations like RelativityOne Connect—a feature that will support cross-organization team efforts and your bottom line—and updates to RelativityOne Collect, which now features integrations with Slack, Microsoft Teams, Office 365, and more.
And of course, you can come to Spotlight expecting to hear insights on the current threat landscape for APAC, risk mitigation strategies, and what we’re doing behind the scenes to keep your data secure. This area is of particular importance of late: More than 80 percent of APAC organisations suffered a cyber attack in 2020. Certainly every corner of the globe has security top of mind in the current landscape, so we’re excited to share how our efforts are fine-tuned for this region as well as the rest of our global community.
End-to-end Efficiency
Legal and compliance teams in APAC are faced with new regulations, anti-corruption efforts, personal data protection rules, and increased litigation. Some of these changes, as in the rest of the world, are driven by the economic and cultural impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. But others are simply the natural progression of doing business on a global scale.
In either case, a powerful set of tools is key to managing these processes, start to finish, with as little conflict—and as much efficiency—as possible on the way to a favorable resolution. These workflows, too, need to be fine-tuned over time, adapting to changing technologies and business practices as well as the learning curve of the folks doing the work.
Recent and forthcoming updates to collection, processing, artificial intelligence, and review capabilities in RelativityOne, as well as communication surveillance with Relativity Trace, are designed to help meet these needs—and evolve along with you.

Ultimately, we’re hosting Spotlight: APAC not to toot our own horn—but to lift up an important segment of our community who, thanks to disparate time zones and vast oceans, doesn’t always get to take the stage before a wider Relativity audience (although sometimes they certainly do!).
