Greg Ball Recognized as a Top 25 AI Executive of 2024

Greg Ball, Relativity’s VP Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, was honored as a Top 25 AI Executive by The Software Report. These awards are held against the backdrop of a rapidly advancing industry, and these leaders stand out for their instrumental roles in driving innovation and transformation. 

Greg Ball joined Relativity in 2021 and is responsible for the company’s AI-related features focused on document review and analytics. In addition to preparing the product side of Relativity for the incoming AI disruption, Greg was also quick to raise his hand and express the importance of not just being the first to jump into AI or the first to release a product, but developing, deploying and leveraging AI responsibly. As a leader in legal technology, Relativity appreciates the significant role that AI plays in data discovery and how it benefits our customers in their work – from automating repetitive tasks to searching through massive data sets so people can focus on high-value activities and more quickly develop and act on their insights. However, Greg called out that any of our work with AI must be guided by a commitment to responsible AI. This commitment is particularly important to us given the vital role Relativity plays in justice systems worldwide. As a result of Greg’s perspective, Relativity developed its set of AI Principles to guide product development and underscore the commitment to our community before rolling out a GPT-4 enabled tool rather than after. Relativity's AI Principles serve as a guiding framework within our company and the industry as a whole, empowering innovators to build rapidly and responsibly in partnership with its customers.
