Relativity Announces Availability of SightWords from IntrepidX, Bringing AI-Powered OCR Capabilities to RelativityOne

Relativity, a legal data intelligence company, today announced the availability of SightWords from legal services provider IntrepidX, a defensibility-focused Optical Character Recognition (OCR) application that makes image-based content reliably searchable, addressing a persistent challenge in modern document review. Built to integrate with Relativity’s AI-powered cloud platform, RelativityOne, SightWords helps legal teams reduce search blind spots caused by handwriting, low-quality scans, skewed pages and mixed-language exhibits. This enables teams to find relevant content faster, reduce downstream rework and support defensible workflows.

While legal teams have seen significant gains in analytics and automation, OCR quality remains a limiting factor in many matters, particularly when key information is trapped in scanned exhibits, faxed records, photographed documents or annotated notes. When OCR falls short, teams often compensate with broader searches, repeated QC cycles and additional linear review. SightWords is designed to close that gap by applying AI-powered, defensibility-focused OCR that reads handwriting and degraded documents, with automatic detection of more than 164 languages. This converts image-based content into searchable text within existing review workflows.
