October 21, 2026
Relativity, a legal data intelligence company, today announced its Justice for Change and Relativity Academic programs have been recognized as finalists in two categories in the 6th Annual Anthem Awards. The Anthem Awards recognize impactful brands, nonprofits, and individuals that are setting the standard for good worldwide.
Justice for Change Microsoft Pro Bono and the Washington Autism Alliance (WAA)
Justice for Change is recognized in the Belonging & Inclusion - Product Innovation or Service - AI Excellence category of the Anthem Awards for its work with Microsoft Pro Bono and the Washington Autism Alliance.
Justice for Change provides free use of its extensible cloud platform, Relativity aiR, to organizations doing legal work on behalf of social justice. By participating in Justice for Change, Microsoft Pro Bono and the Washington Autism Alliance (WAA) used Relativity aiR’s AI capabilities in a test case challenging the wrongful denial of Medicaid benefits to a young adult with severe autism, surfacing evidence to secure critical services. Using Relativity aiR, the clients of Microsoft Pro Bono and WAA were able to challenge Washington State's failure to meet its Medicaid commitment and secure the critical care and services owed to individuals with severe autism.
Through Justice for Change, Microsoft Pro Bono processed 8,000+ documents, uncovering admissions that state personnel recognized the client's need for care but resisted the costs. These findings blocked key counterarguments, securing entitlement to round-the-clock care and setting precedent for other beneficiaries.
