Racing the Clock: An Internal Investigation on a Tight Deadline
When a globally renowned aerospace corporation faced an internal investigation, they needed answers, fast. They had around a month-and-a-half to get a defensible understanding of the key documents and risk exposure, organized well enough to support a presentation to their executive board.
But with more than 114,000 documents and a fixed timeline, a traditional linear review was neither cost-effective nor fast enough. They needed a partner who could move quickly without cutting corners. So, they turned to PLUSnxt.

The Workflow: From All the Documents to the Ones That Mattered
PLUSnxt's QuantumAI Architects designed a customized workflow built around the client's specific needs. Of the 114,173 documents collected, 73,527 were run through aiR Review for relevance and key document analysis. The rest never needed AI review: 32,713 documents were culled as categorically not responsive through standard workflows, and 7,933 were ineligible for aiR analysis. Early in the analysis, the team encountered an unexpected challenge. A significant portion of the population included ambiguous documents with unclear issues, neither clearly relevant nor clearly excludable. To help with the ambiguity, PLUSnxt's QuantumAI Architects evaluated the outputs and presented multiple paths forward, outlining different approaches to isolate clearly "hot" documents and identify material that could be safely excluded.
To validate results, PLUSnxt ran QC samples across document sets while the client's internal review team independently worked through the findings, tagging by issue. Where aiR Review's coding diverged from the client's, reviewers were directed to the documented rationale and considerations, aiR’s written reasoning behind every prediction. In most cases, the client's team reviewed that reasoning, recognized that aiR Review had surfaced something their reviewers had missed, and updated their coding to align.
That documented reasoning, combined with PLUSnxt's sampling and the client's parallel reviews, gave everyone confidence that PLUSnxt's AI-assisted workflow was making the right calls.
